PROVIDER FOR FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND EMBALMERS CE CREDIT

In September 2001, Dohrn Insurance Training was approved by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to provide continuing education hours for those holding a funeral director or embalmer's license in this state.  Both funeral directors and embalmers must take twelve hours of continuing education every two years for each license held and no more than half the hours in a renewal period may be taken as self study.

The combination method for our continuing education programs are valid for twelve hours per course.  The combination method classes hours meet the fifty minute per class hour basis as required by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation under the state statutes regulating these licenses.  By taking the combination method, you will receive 6 hours for self study and six hours for classroom for a total of 12 hours per course toward your funeral director or embalmer license. Each of our courses taken completely on a self study basis can only provide six hours of a CE credit. 

Funeral Directors who jointly hold an insurance producer license will also get 15 hours CE credit for the maintenance of their producer license at no extra charge!
